The Museum Project

The Native American Native Hawaiian Museum Services Program Grant provides funding for a collaborative project between the Muscogee (Creek) Nation Department of Education and Training and the Council House Museum. In this project the programs worked with a set of 15 Native teachers from across the Muscogee (Creek) Nation jurisdiction to develop culturally appropriate and historically accurate lesson plans to incorporate into an online database, available nationwide.

This project has allowed for the Council House and the Department of Education and Training to collaborate on educational resources for schools within jurisdictions as well as the implementation of interactive activities throughout the Council House Museum guided tours.
